FAQs
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can treat a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional health concerns, including chronic pain, digestive issues, headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, women’s health issues, post-COVID conditions and more. Debby takes a holistic approach to address the root cause of your symptoms and support overall well-being.
Acupuncture is generally not painful. Most people feel little to no discomfort during treatment. Debby uses fine, sterile needles and a gentle technique to ensure your comfort. Many patients find acupuncture sessions relaxing and even fall asleep during treatment.
The number of sessions needed varies depending on the individual and the condition being treated. Acute conditions may require fewer visits, while chronic conditions may need a longer course of treatment. During your initial consultation, Debby will assess your unique needs and develop a personalized treatment plan that includes a recommended number of sessions.
Before your appointment, it’s best to eat a light meal and avoid caffeine and alcohol. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to acupuncture points. Bring any relevant medical records or a list of medications you are currently taking. It’s also helpful to write down any questions or concerns you may have so you can discuss them with Debby during your visit.
Debby is an out of network provider for insurances that cover acupuncture as well as a community care provider for the VA. She can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It’s best to contact your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage for acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments.
